SPRINT RACES at Silverstone
SPRINT RACES This is a new race format that the FIA are experimenting with, at the much awaited Silverstone GP. But why do we need a new format? Well to mix up the grid a little and maybe heat the championship fight between (super) Max and Sir Lewis Hamilton (no adjectives needed, 7 time world champ😛)! According to Ross Brawn(F1 Managing Director), sprint quali will keep all the teams on their toes and give us some underdog performances too. So how does it work? Like usual we have free practice one(FP1) on Friday morning followed by the usual qualifying session(the classic Q1,Q2&Q3). This qualifying session sets the grid for the sprint race on Saturday.
